Location: Nottingham based however, job requires 100% travel

Central High Rise Ltd is based in Nottingham and is currently looking for an experienced Steeplejack/Lightning Protection Mate/ Labourer.

You will be required to attend our Nottingham offices on a regular basis and will be instructed to carry out a variety of work at height, according to individual job specifications, following instructions on the method statement and risk assessment. You will be required to work at various sites nationwide.

The ability to work away from home when required is essential and will be needed on a regular basis.

PPE includes:

Face Fit Testing and Mask issue (Clean Shaven Policy applies)

FAO Operations Director/HR Manager

 

Lightning Protection Test Engineer

Full Time

Salary: £29,744 to £37,570 per annum based on experience

Location: Nottingham based however, job requires 100% travel

We are looking for an experienced Lightning Protection Test Engineer.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be required to carry out essential inspections whilst working with safety and integrity at all times.

You will be required to attend our Nottingham offices on a regular basis and will be required to carry out lightning protection testing in accordance to both BN ES 62305 and BS EN 6651 according to individual job specifications, following instructions on the method statement and risk assessment.

You will be required to work at various sites nationwide and complete detailed onsite reports via electronic means.

The ability to work away from home when required is essential and will be needed on a regular basis.

FAO Operations Director/HR Manager

Lightning Protection Apprentice

Full Time

Salary: In line with Industry pay

Location: Nottingham based however, job requires 100% travel

As we continue to expand, we also look to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. We now have an amazing opportunity to take on another lightning protection apprentice to join our friendly onsite team where you will be required to attend our Nottingham offices on a regular basis. You will get exposed to a wide variety of duties including carrying out repairs, maintenance and renovation work on high structures, such as industrial chimneys, power station cooling towers, church spires and bridges.

You’ll also need to be prepared to work at height, using ladders, scaffolding, mobile work platforms (cradles), bosun’s seats (harnesses) and industrial ropes (abseiling).

The ability to work away from home when required is essential and will be needed on a regular basis.

PPE includes:

Face Fit Testing and Mask issue (Clean Shave Policy applies)

Main duties (all to be carried out under close supervision from Foreman) will include:

  • Carry out a variety of work at height, according to individual job specifications. Follow instructions on the method statement and risk assessment
  • Attend the Norfolk based training college that requires 6 blocks of 3 weeks training at a time (accommodation and travel costs provided)
  • Attend any training courses as required by the company
  • Follow instructions as given by the Foremen
  • Follow all Health and Safety instructions at all times

Stores and Asset Person

Full Time

Salary: Competitive rate based on experience. Expected hours are 44 per week.

Location: Nottingham - Office based

We are seeking a driven and experienced Stores and Asset person to join our contracts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the issuing of plant and materials, the maintenance of stock levels, maintaining purchase/stock details into internal systems and ensuring the availability of fleet and equipment for onsite operatives. The role requires excellent organisational skills along with good communication and negotiation abilities. Working hours Monday from 6.30am to 5pm and Tuesday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

Main duties include:

  • Arranging & organizing outsourced inspection & maintenance of plant & equipment.
  • Hiring & off-hiring of plant, equipment and vans.
  • Maintain Stock levels.
  • Inspection and maintenance of plant and equipment for calibration.
  • Maintaining plant & equipment electronic records.
  • Keeping electronic records up to date of inspections.
