Salary: Range from £33,046 to £33,904 per annum

Location: Nottingham based however, job requires regular travel nationwide

Central High Rise Ltd is based in Nottingham and is currently looking for a Steeplejack/Lightning Protection Mate/Labourer who is eager to learn, grow and build a rewarding career within the industry.

Main duties include attending our Nottingham offices on a regular basis where you will be instructed to carry out a variety of work at height, according to individual job specifications, following instructions on the method statement and risk assessment.

You will be required to assist and follow instructions as given by the Steeplejack / Lightning Protection Foreman working at various sites nationwide.

The ability to work away from home when required is essential and will be needed on a regular basis.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in working at height
  • Ability to identify risk and assess jobs appropriately
  • Valid CSCS card, safety passport or working at height competency
  • A focus on safety and quality in all aspects of your work
  • Strong communication skills

Working at Height Technical Report Writer

Full Time

Salary: Range from: £26,436 to £35,380 per annum

Location: Nottingham based offices

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Report Writer to join our growing Technical Team based in Nottingham. Ideally, you will have experience in technical reporting, structural inspections and working at height environments however, we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm to develop a career within this specialist engineering sector, as full training will be provided.

The role involves preparing technical reports and quotations following inspections of a wide range of structures, including industrial chimneys, masts, church steeples, steel structures and associated working at height safety systems. You will also support the design, risk assessment and quotation of lightning protection systems, including structural LPS and surge protection systems, with the opportunity to gain accreditation in BS EN 62305.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially aware individual with strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Working alongside experienced technical surveyors, you will develop specialist technical knowledge while building client relationships, contributing to project delivery and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified to GCSE level – grades 9-4 / A*- C including Maths and English or equivalent
  • BTEC/NVQ Level 2 qualification in construction or related subject
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised, methodical and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in working at height
  • IT Literate – strong MS Office skills
  • Professional and reliable
  • Genuine interest or background in engineering, construction or technical reporting

Desirable

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in report writing within working at height construction industry
  • Good understanding of working at height and health & safety regulations
  • Good working knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations
  • Experience in test and inspection and installation of systems
  • Well established in an estimating role
  • Ability to generate new business
