ATLAS works with a range of key stakeholders including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), British Standards Institution (BSI), Build UK, and Access Industry Forum (AIF) to influence decisions, raise standards and shape the business environment for the benefit of its members. With Unite the Union, ATLAS operates a National Joint Council which agrees terms and conditions for the industry’s workforce. With CITB, it created and supports a dedicated industry Training Group (the Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group (SLPTG)) to provide training and qualifications tailored to the needs of the industry, including apprenticeship programmes offering a formal training route for new entrants. Originally formed as the National Federation of Master Steeplejacks & Lightning Conductor Engineers (NFMS&LCE) in 2003, the organisation became ATLAS. With an established track record, ATLAS is unrivalled when it comes to providing experience in lightning protection and specialist access solutions, with members leading the way in health and safety, technical innovation and training and skills.
Achilles
Achilles UVDB is a qualification system within the meaning of Regulation 77 of the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 and Regulation 75 of the Utilities Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2016 which allows subscribing utilities to select Central High Rise Limited for invitation to tender or negotiate, This system is also used to ensure compliance with the process of compiling a tender list from a list of pre-qualified suppliers. Selecting suppliers from a qualification system is permitted under the Directive for the restricted, negotiated, competitive dialogue and innovation partnerships procedures

Our SSIP and PAS91 contractor accreditation scheme checks that we meet the necessary requirements around health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity and environmental management practices.
Construction Line
Being Gold verified is of interest to many of our buyers, with Gold membership including further validation checks using an enhanced prequalification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS 91. Our Company credentials have been checked for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies. Some of these policies form part of the Cabinet Office Selection Questionnaire (SQ), which the public sector is expected to comply with.
Safety Schemes in Procurement
Our Clients can be assured that suppliers who have been assessed and certificated by an SSIP Forum Member Scheme have achieved the initial threshold of competence to provide specific services. Using an SSIP Forum Member Scheme for this initial assessment allows our Clients to concentrate on Stage 2 of the procurement process. The Stage 2 assessment will ensure that we have and maintain: appropriate experience to carry out specific work in specific locations; suitably trained staff, and; other resources all available to do the work to meet the Client's needs.
