What is an Industrial Climbing Organisation?

An Industrial Climbing Organisation is a true multi discipline company offering a combination of access skills to safely Work at Height. Our engineers are trained in all forms of specialist access techniques including rope access, ladders access, abseiling, suspended scaffolds, cradles and MEWP access methods.

With this range of disciplines, Central High Rise are able to offer our clients cost effective options for safely Working at Height, in what can be sometimes extreme but must always be a safe working environment.

about central highrise

Many people do not realise there are differences between Rope Access, Abseilers and Steeplejacks, or that to fully qualify as a Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Engineer can take over five years to complete and usually six years to become a team leader.

As a true industrial climbing organisation Central High Rise offer qualified and certified specialist teams with the multiple trade skills required for brick, masonry, concrete, welding, steel works and lightning protection engineering combined with the required climbing qualifications of an Abseiler or Steeplejacks.

Our qualified Steeplejacks offer a wide skill-set covering complex rigging techniques to access very high or very awkward locations. It is the Steeplejacks of the world who have the skills and training to safely rig and then de-rig the initial access methods and construct the specialist ‘flying scaffolding’ as often seen around the top of industrial chimneys, churches, heritage buildings and other tall structures. Once the method of access to these buildings has been established our Abseilers can then join the Steeplejacks accordingly to complete the task at hand.

The climbing teams at Central High Rise are both IRATA trained as well as being CSCS certified and registered steeplejacks and lightning protection engineers. When working on high building and structures the operatives work in teams of at least 2 people and always conform to the Working at Height legislations.

In combination with the mandatory legislation required for Working at Height, Central High Rise have developed an industry leading combination of practical methodologies to help keep staff safe in their work tasks.
